St Margaret’s opens at 8.15am and school commences at 8.25am. An early morning drop-off facility is available from 8.00am. The school day finishes at 4.00pm for all children.
St Margaret’s After-School Club, fondly named ‘Maggots’, is available Monday to Friday from 4.00pm - 6.00pm. It aims to provide a safe and stimulating environment for all children throughout the school. Maggots is housed in a purpose-built unit situated within the main school. Whilst it has easy access to all the school facilities and play areas, it is also fully self-contained in its own right. Fruit and water is available freely throughout the sessions and attendees are given a light tea at 4.45pm. Children enjoy a wide range of activities including art, craft and modelling, construction toys, dressing up, outdoor activities, computer games, puzzles and jigsaws, cooking and home corner.
Between the hours of 5.00pm - 6.00pm, there is an opportunity for children in Prep (Years 3-6) to complete supervised homework and for the younger children to do spelling and reading.
We also offer a holiday club for most of the school holidays which is open from 8.00am - 6.00pm (full details below).
Maggots is run by familiar staff who all hold enhanced DBS checks. The charges from September 2016 are as follows:
